Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman pleaded guilty yesterday to a fraud charge regarding her involvement in the sweeping college admissions scandal that rocked the nation and Hollywood earlier this year. Her husband, Shameless star William H. Macy, was notably not in attendance during her trial. Huffman’s case is one of dozens in which parents committed fraud and got caught in the US Department of Justice’s largest ever prosecution of a college admissions scandal, with another high-profile fraudster being Fuller House’s Lori Loughlin....

Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing returns to acting after a tax evasion scandal. Last June, allegations were made that Bingbing underreported her acting income, which prompted a months-long disappearance and approximate $127 million fine from Chinese authorities. Bingbing is now set to co-star in the new action film 355 with Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, and Lupita Nyong’o. The film will be helmed by Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg. In mainstream North American pop culture, Bingbing is perhaps best known for portraying Clarice Ferguson aka Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past....

The cast of Fear The Walking Dead would be game for a crossover with Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes. Shortly prior to the season 9 premiere of The Walking Dead, it came to light that Lincoln was planning to step away from the long-running zombie series after nearly a decade in the role, and in Rick’s final episode, the character made a noble sacrifice to save his people. While Rick’s friends believe him dead, however, the protagonist was actually saved by Jadis, who called a mysterious helicopter to fly in and whisk both herself and Rick away....

Warner Bros. is reportedly delaying the Fantastic Beasts 3 production start date until late Fall 2019, pushing it back from a previous Summer 2019 kickoff. The Harry Potter spinoff series launched in 2016 with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, and continued in late 2018 with the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. While the initial film was received well enough by fans and critics alike, The Crimes of Grindelwald was criticized for its twists, changes to Harry Potter lore and a number of other issues ranging from pacing to performances....

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has cautioned that the Fantastic Four and the X-Men won’t join the MCU for “a handful of years.” In December last year, Disney finalized a deal to purchase the bulk of 21st Century Fox’s movie and TV empire. The deal is now awaiting final regulatory approval, which is anticipated by summer 2019. Should the purchase be approved, Disney CEO Bob Iger has already confirmed that the Fantastic Four and the X-Men will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe....

A trailer has been revealed for an upcoming video game called Enchanted Portals that bears more than a passing resemblance to Cuphead and fans have been calling out the developers on social media for stealing the concept of their game. Cuphead is a run and gun platformer that was released for Windows and Xbox One in 2017, which had earned a tremendous amount of buzz before release due to how its graphics resembled the animated movies that were made by Fleischer Studios and Walt Disney Animation in the ’30s....

A new photo released from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald shows a young Newt Scamander as a student at Hogwarts under the tutelage of Professor Albus Dumbledore. The photo comes from a flashback scene that shows Newt as a young wizard at the school before his expulsion. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald picks up after the events of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. In the new film, Professor Dumbledore calls on Newt to help him defeat the evil Grindelwald, who wants to raise up pureblood witches and wizards to rule over all of humanity....
