Prior to the launch of Apple Music, I had a Spotify Premium subscription. Although I listened to my own music a good 80% of the time, I considered the equivalent of one album purchase a month to be decent value to have access to other music when I felt like something new. But while Spotify didn’t much change the way I listened to music, Apple Music really has. Its ‘For You’ recommendations – especially the playlists – are so good that the 20% streaming I used to do has now grown to 50%....

The Food and Drug Administration has cleared what is described as the first-ever smartphone application capable of initiating insulin delivery on both iOS and Android operating systems. The system here comes from Tandem Diabetes Care, and the application ties in to the company’s t:slim X2 insulin pump. Prior to this approval from the FDA, delivery of insulin had to be handed through the pump itself. This change, however, means that users will be able to “program or cancel bolus doses of insulin” using the app for iPhone and Android devices, according to The Verge....

Given that the Harry Potter franchise is the second biggest franchise of all time, and spans nine movies, now, it’s hard to believe the franchise has never been awarded an Oscar in any category, until now. Square Enix unveiled FF7 Remake’s North American and European box art earlier today, and the depiction of Cloud gazing up at Shinra headquarters is a perfect example of how to do nostalgia right, blending an iconic scene with some of the modernized graphics fans will experience with the remade title. Previously, Square Enix unveiled the art as a tribute to the game’s anniversary this year, a move many praised and felt was a strong indicator that FF7 Remake’s delicate process of balancing old features fans love with modern elements that make a game compelling to play was going well....
