Sixteen years after The Fast and the Furious debuted in theaters, and the series has become a massive money-maker for Universal and one of the world’s most popular franchises. Thanks to its utilization of practical effects and its diverse cast, the movies have found acclaim and appeal around the globe while launching the careers of a number of performers, like star Vin Deisel and Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot. It’s been two years since the seventh film hit theaters, with a bittersweet sendoff for Paul Walker’s character following the actor’s tragic death. With next month’s Fate of the Furious, this film will venture into even more uncharted territory.

In past films, Diesel’s character Dom was often the linchpin of the group, spouting ideas about family that guided the anti-heroics of the film. The new film, however, will see him turn his back on his crew and side with Charlize Theron’s villainous hacker. The first trailer for the film set a new ratings record, and a Super Bowl spot continued to highlight the movie’s unique action set pieces and mysterious plot. Following a recent international trailer that showed us Dom and Letty on their honeymoon, fans are eager for the next full-length look at the film.

Thanks to a tweet by Mirabella Mumbai, we know that the new Fast 8 trailer will be coming on Thursday. The bar will be live-streaming the event at 8:30 pm Mumbai time, which would translate to 10:30 am EST in the States. Check out the tweet below.

Assuming the trailer will premiere globally at the same time, we’ll likely see it drop Thursday morning online. With the film just a month and a half away, the new trailer will likely focus on the plot of the film a bit more. That said, hopefully it doesn’t give away too many secrets or spoil any more of the movie’s big action scenes. What we would like to see is more Helen Mirren, who will be playing the mother of the Shaw Brothers. We know Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw will be teaming up with the crew, so hopefully Mirren will assist them as well.

While we await the new film, we’ve been given plenty of snippets of the movie. A new poster has teased the fight between Vin Diesel and the Rock, and an international one shows off the film’s big arctic adventure. Meanwhile, a new promo further illustrates how the game has changed. And though it’s unlikely to be the case, we’re still hoping the crazy fan theory that Dom is a Terminator turns out to be true when Fate of the Furious debuts. Hey, we can dream.
